I have left this blog very much redundant (which I regret) and will try to post more things.
Quite frankly I lost time to model when I got back to University, we had so many projects on at once I've been in the library until 4am in the morning and got up at 7am the next day for hand ins at 9am.
I have had enough of uni already, part of me wants to sack it off as it seems like it's more bother than it is worth!
But then I think I need a day job and as much as I love pin up, I can't devote myself full time as it wouldn't pay the bills. I have to think literally about life and if it does begin to become more of a career then I will take it up completely.
I would love burlesque to be my full time career, but something was stopping me for so long: the worry of what others will think. Mainly my family, I can't bear to imagine what they would go through to know their daughter stripped on stage. But to me burlesque isn't a dirty act at all! It's a tease, but it's all about dancing and the beauty of the female form. When I watch burlesque stars I have so much admiration! Burlesque ties in all my dreams of pin-up and glamour into one beautiful act, and I think I am almost ready to put together my own act.
As well as thinking literally about picking up burlesque as another hobby, some of you may already know I have been working really hard on my fitness! I bang on about it on my facebook but I have been way too chicken to post any photos of my stomach and legs just incase I don't lose any weight at all and then i'll have some raw photos on the internet or something.. but I have lost weight. Almost half a stone, so far, without really trying that much.
During deadlines I lost pounds very easilly, with walking around a lot and barely going home to eat, I had to rely on what I bought and I tried not to spend too much out which resulted in losing weight.
Before deadlines I was hitting the gym and I found out I really love doing Yoga.
I have tried Pilates a couple of times before, but Yoga makes me feel very connected to my soul and I feel stronger as a woman after the sessions. I have been going through a tough time with friendships crumbling at my feet and feeling very alone for a few months, so taking up Yoga gave me a real focus and the relaxation sessions at the end made me feel much more relaxed!
If there is one thing I have learnt this year, it is to try not to rely on other people so much and to be strong and independant! Love yourself and look after yourself and your health, be it fitness or mental health.
Sometimes you have to do something for yourself and make a change in order to be a happier person, and that is what i'm doing now!

Forces Sweethearts with SSAFA in Kent
Last week on Sunday 12th Nov, I did the star wars set with Pinupzania and Ian Mears and then headed off to Kent with Dakota and Tally where Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) Forces Help were waiting for us.
They took us out for dinner which was lovely and then we headed off to the hotel to sleep for a few hours. Then at 5am I was back out of bed again, compete with pincurls I had slept on to my head!
At 6:45 am we headed off to the petrol pumps of Clacket Lane Services where we spread the word about SSAFA and how much the charity can help ex-forces members!
We did loads of photos that day. The army troops stopping off for a coffee had photos with us which was great fun.
I woke in the morning to find a lot of things already online from the shoot:

It was a great day out and the charity really looks after its' models. I love doing things for a good cause and spreading awareness so I hope to do another event like this soon!

Star Wars and Pin Ups!
Yesterday I shot in the Hackney Wick location videographer Brandon Fuller offered to me and the company to use in a large shoot.
The shoot didn't turn out as large as expected, however that didn't stop us as the Star Wars guys showed up and transformed into their awesome costumes. I was in geek girl heaven to say the least. I was ridiculously excited, I LOVE Star Wars so much so as you can imagine I couldn't control myself and had a smile accross my face that much resembled the cheshire cat.
Here are a few pics from yesterday!

Modelling for Gerty & Berty, Camden
Yesterday I headed into Camden for a product shoot with Berty & Gerty.
I modelled about 35 dresses in total, some silk scarves, bags and hats!
The shoot was lots of fun and Emma needed quick shots to upload onto the ASOS Marketplace page.
Only a few are up so far but it's nice to be featured on a clothing website.
I'm really upping the promo work I am doing now, a lot have been professional shoots but I think it is time to get involved with the talent around London.

Update!
Sorry I haven't updated in a while! *slaps wrist*
Naughty girl, I have been VERY VERY BUSY!
Modelling has really picked up which naturally I am very proud of and I feel like I have actually begun to take this seriously and think like a businesswoman about every move I make with it.
I know that I am experienced now and have a full portfolio to be taking on good, paid work from clients.
So a rough update from my last post,
I did the shoot in Brighton, have a few pics but many haven't been posted yet which is a shame since winter is coming and its kinda a summer shoot, but the photos I have seen I have really loved so far.
We had a wicked day with the Pinupzania team. All the girls are absolute gems and Stuart (my agent and photographer for Pinupzania and Diamonds & Feathers) was wonderful as usual!
So here are a few snaps I have of me from the day:

Then after Brighton I was contacted by an LA Videographer, so I have had several meetings with him with Pinupzania and the result is a large shoot with multiple photographers/mua's/clothing lines. This is happening in a few weeks time so look out ;).
I did some latex work (ASD Latex) for the first time as a test shoot in this warehouse:
I also did a few pics around London with the gorgeous Cherry, seen here:
Hope you enjoyed the update ;) More to come.

Shoot with Pinupzania Tomorrow
I have 2 shoots with Pinupzania this week, a short one tomorrow which should be fun, around London and also a shoot in Brighton on Saturday.
I have left my heated rollers at my family home and I just moved house back to London so all I have is velcro rollers right now! So I'm hoping the curls will hold all day, if not I will not be happy!!!
Look out for the pictures of me coming up on Pinupzania's facebook page or on my facebook.

Alt Modelling, Weight and Health
I have been modelling on and off for about three years but I only took this up seriously after lots and lots of people started urging me to get into pin up more and I eventually had the confidence to go for it. So for the past 6 months I have had a lot of really good shoots with talented photographers and I feel like I am learning so much about modelling with every one.
Modelling isn't the case of standing under the lights and looking pretty, that won't get you the shot you desire that shows off you and the outfit you are modelling to its potential!
I have learnt it's all about movement and body confidence, particularly with alt modelling, the way you move your body so your ass looks bigger, waist looks smaller and your face looks good. If you're frowning, blinking, awkwardly smiling - you can forget it. That photo has to be perfect, so you really have to manipulate your entire body in a robotic way to get the shot.
For pin up modelling especially, it's all about being fun and flirty and to get that all in one photograph with props galore is a lot harder than everyone thinks.
I still have a long way to go yet to get to the standard of modelling I want to achieve, and I am working towards securing deals with designers for alt fashion catwalks, latex, and photo shoots for clothing websites.
I am also working on my physique full time now getting back in shape and out of my 'soft' phase. I haven't been straight up and down skinny since I was about 10-12 years old and I hadn't developed breasts and a bottom yet, or discovered alcohol.
In general, being a healthy vegetarian I do eat very well and make sure I eat nutritional meals. It's all about exercise, and that is where I have gone wrong!
From discovering I have anaemia and have had it all summer, exercise wasn't top priority in my mind. I have felt very weak, constantly wanting to sleep so my regime of running along the beach and clifftops at home very much went out of the window!!
The good news is I am back on the road to recovery and have been told I won't be needing iron injections, which is what the doctors originally wanted to do with me as my levels of iron and red blood cells were very low which was why I was being sent home from work, doing less shoots and feeling tired. I am taking iron supplements and trying to eat a rich diet of protein and green vegetables which contain lots of iron.
This month I head to Brighton beach with the Pinupzania team and their new modelling agency Diamonds & Feathers whom I am signed to, to shoot some classic pin-up on the pier and sand, so look forward to a few photos of me and many of the vintage beauties signed to the agency also on the Pinupzania Official Facebook page.
